Residential and Community Assessment
Sarinitiy provides residential and community based social work assessments of families that are involved in care proceedings and those who are subject to pre-care proceedings.
Our service will take into account a range of factors to make assessments including environmental factors, involvement of their extended families, and any support networks they currently have. The assessments takes into account the influence and impact these elements have when assessing if the individual has the ability to provide good enough care for their children and enable their children to achieve successful outcomes.
The assessments look at all areas that contribute both negatively and positively to a child’s development including, physical, emotional, and social needs, and any risks posed in each area by the parenting they receive. During the assessment families will receive support strategies and access to other services available, such as community support groups.
Sarinitiy Homes (SH) provides residential and community based social work assessments of families involved in care proceedings and families subject to pre-care proceedings support and assessment via the Public Law Outline (PLO) process.
The SH family assessment service aims to undertake holistic assessments of young parents including environmental factors and their extended family or significant support network where appropriate. These assessments are thorough and evidence based with detailed analysis in relation to the parents ability to provide ‘good enough’ care for their child(ren) and enable their child(ren) to achieve positive outcomes. Assessments consider the parents ability to meet the physical, emotional, developmental and social needs whilst considering any risk posed to the child by the parenting they receive. During the assessment process families will be supported with strategies and to access services such as Children’s Centre’s and community support groups to support any identified areas of concern. The assessment will make recommendations on the parents ability to safely care for their child(ren) independently and what support is required to enable the parents to sustain a good enough standard of care.
At Sarinitiy we understand the importance of early intervention, and our experienced staff are skilled at identifying potential challenges and risks that may be present. The assessment will make recommendations and observations on the parent’s ability to safely care for their children and detail what additional support is needed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their children.
We can undertake assessments with or without recommendations depending on the agencies involved and will follow assessments up in case conferences where required. Our assessments are independent and impartial and focus on a family’s ability to safely care for their children.
